2025 Nominees for Election & Important Dates Reminder

2025 Nominees for Election

The Commission would like to thank the four licensees who put their name forward for the 2025 election for a seat on the Board of Directors:

  • James Collins, Salesperson, Commercial Eastern Inc. DBA Cushman & Wakefield Atlantic 
  • Angela Cowan, Associate Broker, Exit Real Estate Professionals
  • Denise MacDonell, Managing Associate Broker, Red Door Realty
  • Logan Morse, Managing Associate Broker, Royal LePage Atlantic

The Commission's mission statement is to protect the public interest through effective regulation that promotes professionalism, ethical conduct, and integrity, which strengthens consumer trust and confidence in the real estate profession. All Board members, regardless of how they were nominated to the Board, must always place the interests of the Commission and its mandate of protecting the public interest ahead of all other interests.

The election will be held online, opening on Monday, April 21 at 9am and closing on Wednesday, April 23 at 4pm. The successful candidate will be announced at the AGM on April 24. View nominee information, including their experience and bios HERE

Important Dates Reminder

April 24: NSREC AGM

June 15: Mandatory CPE Courses

Depending on your licence category, licensees must complete their required CPE course(s) on the NSAR Learning Platform before 11:59 pm on June 15, 2025.

All licence categories (salespeople, associate brokers, managing associate brokers and brokers) must complete Revisiting Consumer Relationships.

Associate brokers, managing associate brokers and brokers must also complete Broker Responsibilities Refresh.

July 1: By-law Updates to Parts 7 & 8
Effective July 1, 2025, the Commission By-law will be updated to reflect the revised Part 7—Conduct and Trade Practices and 8—Discipline, as approved by the Board. Click here for more information on the changes.
