How to Register for June Licensing Exams

Provided COVID-19 restrictions do not increase, the Commission plans to start the salesperson licensing exams beginning on June 18th. Exams will be held in the Commission office only. Access Nova Scotia offices are not available at this time. Exams will be scheduled based on their completion date of the salesperson licensing course. Those that have been waiting the longest to write will be the first eligible to write. Individuals who were registered for the April exam will be contacted to schedule an exam time. Individuals who have not registered for the exam, register using the Exam Registration Procedure below.

To clear the backlog of salesperson exams, there will be morning and afternoon writings held on the following dates:

June 18, 19, 20
June 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27

After which, salesperson and broker exams will be scheduled in accordance with demand.

Exam Registration Procedure

  1. Applicants must register by completing an exam application and a credit card authorization and submitting it to Pam Crane, Licensing Officer, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
  2. Applicants must use the updated exam application for the month of June on our website. It has been modified for the current circumstances.
  3. By 4pm the day prior to the exam, the applicant must complete a COVID-19 screening declaration.
  4. Applicants with symptoms at the time of screening or who develop symptoms the day of the exam are not eligible to write.
  5. On the day of the exam, applicants will be required to use hand sanitizer and wear a mask before entering the office. Masks will be supplied.
  6. Applicants who are unable to wear a mask due to medical reasons must email the Registrar prior to their exam date to make alternate arrangements.

Exam Eligibility

Anyone who has travelled outside of the province is not eligible to write the exam until they have self isolated in Nova Scotia for 14 days.

Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms will not be permitted to write until they have tested negative for COVID-19 or have been symptom free for 10 days. This is of the utmost importance. If the office is exposed to COVID-19, the office will need to close for deep cleaning and the staff who were present will have to self isolate for 14 days. This will, in turn, disrupt all subsequent exam writings.

Office Reopening

Once the exam backlog is resolved and provided COVID-19 restrictions do not increase, the Commission plans to reopen the office on June 29th. Public and licensee access will be by appointment only. Anyone who has travelled outside of the province must not come to the office until they have self isolated in Nova Scotia for 14 days.

Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms must not come to the office until they have tested negative for COVID-19 or are symptom free for 10 days. Again, this is of the utmost importance.
