Remembrance Day Act
Working with the Real Estate Industry Form

Remembrance Day
The Commission would also like to remind all industry members that per the Remembrance Day Act, which specifically prohibits trading in real property, no brokerage activities of any kind are permissible on Remembrance Day, including: open houses, property showings, opening offices or negotiating transactions. The Act can be viewed here.

Working with the Real Estate Industry Form
The Commission has revised our requirement to no longer necessitate a newly signed Working with the Real Estate Industry form annually when an agency relationship exists for a year or longer. Brokerages may determine for their business if these cases require a new Working with the Real Estate Industry form annually.

Further, if a client has multiple properties listed, as in the case of a builder or developer, the brokerage is not required to maintain multiple signed Working with the Real Estate Industry forms. A photocopy of the master form is suitable and must be kept in each individual transaction file involving that client.
