Online Licence Renewal Recap 2019

This was the first year for online licence renewals for all licensees. This article discusses how to access your licence certificate, paid invoices and approved sales corporation licence certificate using our online database.

Online Licence Renewal Recap
This was the first year for online licence renewals for all licensees. Renewals launched on May 10th with over 200 licensees renewing on the first day. Steady activity continued throughout the renewal period with only 43 licenses renewed after the June 15th deadline. Well done licensees!

Licence Certificates and Paid Invoices
If you need a copy of your licence certificate or your paid invoice, you can access them by logging on to NSREC Online. To access NSREC Online, click on the Licensee Portal button on the nsrec.ns.ca homepage.

To access your invoices, click on Invoices in the left pane or the Invoices button and click on the ID number of the invoice you wish to print, email, or download to your computer. To print, email or download your licence certificate, click on Licence Certificate in the left pane or click on the Licence Certificate button.

Approved Sales Corporations
If you have an approved sales corporation, click on Approved Sales Corporation in the left pane or click the Approved Sales Corporation button to go to your Approved Sales Corporation page and click the Licence Certificate button to print, email, or download your approved sales corporation licence certificate.

Some licensees with approved sales corporations asked why they had to pay two licence fees. This is because they hold two licences, a real estate licence (salesperson, associate broker, etc.), which authorizes the licensee to trade in real estate, and an approved sales corporation, which authorizes the licensee to be paid as a corporation, not an individual, for tax purposes.
