Trust Fund Deposit Fraud Alert

The Commission was alerted to a deposit fraud that occurred yesterday—thankfully the funds were recovered. The bank that released the funds by EFT was able to retrieve them after the fraud was discovered and reported. The Commission is advising licensees to be vigilant and carefully scrutinize deposit instructions before sending them to buyers.

Call for 2022 Nominations for the Board of Directors

The Commission is accepting nominations for one licensee to join the Board of Directors. Licensees nominate themselves by completing and submitting the Nomination Form. The deadline for nominations is Monday, March 21st, 2022 at 4 p.m. A virtual election will be held in April. The successful candidate will be announced at the AGM on April 21st.

February 11th Exam Postponed

February 11th Exam Postponed

Due to the current COVID-19 conditions and the government's recommendations to work from home when possible, the February 11th salesperson and broker licensing exams have been postponed. All students registered to write their exam on February 11th, morning and afternoon, are automatically rescheduled to the morning and afternoon of February 24th.

Correction to Form 402: Resale Condominium Schedule

On January 3rd, 2022, several forms were updated, including Form 402: Resale Condominium Schedule. The updates to this form affected "Documentation" clauses 2.1 and 2.2 to address the changes to buyer's conditions.
